Description
The Finance Manager is responsible for managing the financial health of The CareGivers Company (the “Company”) and its wholly-owned operating subsidiaries, overseeing financial planning and analysis, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the Company’s goals. This position reports to the Company’s Managing Member (M2) and will work closely with the Executive Management Team.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Financial Management. Own the financial planning function and develop financial reports, forecasts, and scenarios. Analyze financial data to identify trends, the reason for variances, and opportunities for improvements. Present financial reports to management on a monthly basis.
- Strategic Planning. Develop long-term financial plans and models to support the Company’s goals, including the analysis of strategic initiatives and merger and acquisition transactions. Assess market conditions, including potential threats and opportunities.
- Management and Leadership. Supervise the accounting and client financial staff, providing training, support, guidance, and mentorship to ensure effective financial operations.
- Operational Management. Collect, analyze, and interpret Company operating data and provide management across the Company with actionable insights to make informed, strategic decisions.
- Cash Management. Monitor cash flow and ensure sufficient liquidity to meet operational needs and capital investments. Ensure that cash balances are properly invested in accordance with the Company’s investment policy and assist the M2 in securing additional debt and equity capital.
- Other duties as needed, based on the evolving business needs.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with the ability to deliver actionable solutions to strategic and operational initiatives.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; able to present financial and operational information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proficiency in financial and accounting software, particularly Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks; experience with data collection tools is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- At least 2 years of direct experience in financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, and/or strategic planning.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; MBA or professional certification (CPA or CFA) preferred.
- Knowledge of GAAP and ability to build complex financial models with multi-entity consolidation.· Experience as a builder and leader of high-functioning teams strongly preferred.
